One of our favourite large-format leaves for blackwater aquarium displays, Magnolia Grandiflora leaves bring bold structure and depth to any aquascape. With their stiff, golden-brown appearance and impressive size, these leaves are almost twice as large as Magnolia Michelia leaves and are often mixed together by our aquascapers to create layered, natural leaf-litter beds.

Despite their size, Magnolia Grandiflora leaves release a high level of tannins, helping to soften water and enhance authentic blackwater conditions. Their textured surface supports biofilm development, making them an excellent supplemental food source for shrimp, fry, and bottom-dwelling species.

Tannins Released: High

All our leaves are organically sourced, free from harmful pesticides, and naturally sun-dried without the use of chemicals.
