Anyone who has dealt with us over the past 9 years knows my personal history with Betta fish, I have been working with the species for close to 30 years and nothing gets me more worked up than seeing them being kept in poor conditions. Yes, Bettas can survive in a few liters of water, but the keyword being SURVIVE when it should be THRIVE. Bettas are intelligent fish and need space to explore, keeping Bettas permanently in something like a vase can be detrimental to the fish's overall health due to poor water quality and lack of stimulation. So, this is why at Castle Dawn Aquatics the smallest Betta tank we offer is 5 gallons not only for the Betta to thrive but so the keeper can get real experience in keeping these remarkable little fish.
