Rolled Pulcherrima Pods (6 Pack)
Pulcherrima Pods are the dried, twisted fruit shells of the Caesalpinia pulcherrima tree, prized for their striking woody form and natural appearance. These unique botanicals are ideal for adding the finishing touches to a blackwater aquarium aquascape, bringing depth, texture, and authenticity to biotope and botanical-style setups.
As with many woody botanicals, Pulcherrima Pods release tannins gradually. Their initial impact is subtle, but once settled they contribute beautifully to tannic water colour and overall blackwater character. As the pods become waterlogged, they gently untwist, creating natural shelters and foraging surfaces that shrimp and small bottom-dwellers readily utilise.
Tannins Released: Medium (Gradually)
All our botanicals are organically sourced, free from harmful pesticides, and naturally sun-dried without the use of chemicals.
