This botanical is ideal for larger blackwater aquarium setups and for wild Betta species in the unimaculata complex, like Betta macrostoma. It’s also a crucial botanical for a Betta mahachaiensis biotope aquarium, as the fern species from which coir is derived commonly grows near brackish water, making it a natural fit for their aquarium biotope.
