Cork trunks are an excellent alternative for making underwater forests due to their resilience and anti-fungal properties preventing it from rotting and releasing unwanted toxins into the water. Cork is commonly used with Shrimp keepers here in China, as it creates a natural feel to the aquarium and produces a natural feeding source for the shrimp.
