This botanical hardly needs an introduction. Castle Dawn Aquatics Cocoa Pods are a true staple for blackwater aquariums and biotope setups. When split open, these large pods form ideal natural shelters for fish and shrimp, making them perfect for Indonesian (Sumatra) biotopes or non-region-specific blackwater aquariums.

A firm favourite among wild Betta keepers, Cocoa Pods provide secure refuge for mouthbrooding males and can help encourage natural spawning behaviour. At Castle Dawn Aquatics, we rely on these pods across all our Apistogramma breeding projects, where they consistently create the ideal conditions for natural behaviour and successful reproduction.
