Cypress cones are a functional aquarium botanical providing similar properties to antibacterial botanicals like Indian almond leaves and cinnamon bark. They can be a natural aid in keeping the aquarium inhabitants healthy and have been known to keep Planaria at bay, which can be a hazard to shrimp aquariums. They also make ideal shelters for shrimplets and fry due to their open structure, they are a great allrounder aquarium botanical.
