Extra-Large Indian Catappa Almond Leaves (20 Pack)
Catappa Indian Almond Leaves are one of the most trusted and widely used aquarium botanicals in the world, and for good reason. At Castle Dawn Aquatics, we use Indian Almond Leaves religiously with both our wild and domestic Betta species, as well as in shrimp tanks and blackwater breeding systems.
Renowned for their powerful antibacterial properties, Catappa leaves release humic acids and high levels of tannins that naturally lower pH, soften water, and create ideal blackwater conditions. These benefits make them indispensable for Bettas, South American cichlids, shrimp, and other soft-water species.
Our XL Catappa leaves, measuring just under 30 cm, are perfectly suited for larger aquariums, offering extended longevity, strong tannin release, and excellent surface area for biofilm development.
Tannins Released: High
As with all our botanicals, these leaves are organically sourced, completely chemical-free, and naturally sun-dried without the use of ethanol.
Our leaves are cosmetically varied, exactly as nature intended. Colour, shape, size, and appearance will vary naturally.
