Castle Dawn Aquatics – Warranty Terms and Conditions
At Castle Dawn Aquatics, we take pride in the quality of our aquarium products. Our warranty policies are designed to be fair, transparent, and helpful, whether you're a hobbyist or a seasoned aquarist.
Warranty Coverage
We offer the following warranty policies on products manufactured by Castle Dawn Aquatics:
1-Year Limited Warranty (Electrical Components)
This applies to all electrical components, including:

Air pumps
-
Filter pumps
-
Heaters
-
Aquarium lighting (LED, etc.)
We warrant that these items will be free from manufacturing defects and will perform as intended under normal use for one (1) year from the date of delivery.
2-Year Limited Warranty (Non-Electrical Parts & Structures)
This applies to structural and non-electrical parts such as:

Aquarium tanks (glass/acrylic)
-
Cabinets, cabinet doors, and stands
-
Aquarium hoods and lids
-
Pipework, frames, and seals
These components are covered against manufacturing defects for two (2) years from the date of delivery.
What’s Not Covered
Our warranty does not apply to:
-
Misuse or mishandling, including breakage due to accidents, improper installation, or failure to follow product guidelines.

Normal wear and tear, corrosion, or cosmetic damage.
-
Damage from environmental factors such as water quality, poor ventilation, power surges, or overheating.

Use with unauthorised third-party parts or equipment.
-
Products purchased from unauthorised sellers or resellers.
-
Modifications, tampering, or attempted self-repair.
⚠️ Livestock Disclaimer:
Castle Dawn Aquatics is not responsible for any injury, illness, or loss of aquatic livestock resulting from product failure, misuse, installation errors, or environmental conditions. This includes but is not limited to fish, shrimp, snails, plants, or corals.
⚠️ Hardware Failure Disclaimer:
Castle Dawn Aquatics is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or loss (including but not limited to fire, electrocution, or damage to other aquarium equipment) resulting from the use or malfunction of our products.
We reserve the right to inspect and determine if a product fault is covered under warranty.
Claim Process
To file a warranty claim:

Please include:-
Your order number

Product name or model
-
Photos or video of the issue

A brief description of the fault

Prepare your item for inspection or return if required.
We'll advise on packaging and whether the item must be returned. -
If the claim is approved, we will:

Repair or replace the item, or
-
Issue store credit or a refund (at our discretion).

Repaired or replaced items are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for 30 days, whichever is longer.
Replacement Shipping Fees

Customers are responsible for shipping charges associated with warranty replacements or repairs.
Transfer & Resale
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. It becomes void if the product is resold or transferred to another party.
Voided Warranty
Your warranty will be voided if:

Serial numbers or identifying labels are removed.

The product has been opened, tampered with, or modified.
-
The product is used in violation of setup guidelines or local laws.
-
You fail to follow the return or replacement instructions provided.
Customers in the United States
⚠️ Please Note:
All US-based customers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, or tariffs. These charges are not covered by Castle Dawn Aquatics and are unrelated to warranty claims.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Castle Dawn Aquatics disclaims all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, etc.).

Our total liability under this policy shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including livestock loss or damage to other equipment.
Your Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights depending on your location. If any provision of this warranty is deemed unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
