Aquarium fluidized filters are unique in their manner of water filtration. The filter media is constantly moving, banging into each other knocking old nitrifying bacteria off the filter media. This allows new nitrifying bacteria to colonise the filter media again, creating a cycle of constant new nitrifying bacteria to give a heightened boost to the aquarium nitrifying cycle.
